Ever since the founding of our company in 1906 through the great grandfather of the present owner we have been dealing with the development and construction of machines and equipment for the printing industry, and since rotogravure printing was invented we have been the supplier exclusively for gravure making equipment. The manufacture of rotogravure cylinders, too, has been in our production program right from the beginning. This required processing machines like the buffing machine shown to the left which were also furnished by K. Walter.

Today Kaspar Walter of Germany is known for the modern automatic processing of rotogravure cylinders. The integration into computer controlled plating lines allows automation of the entire production of gravure cylinders.

Development of the neccesary copper and chrome plating tanks, automation software, processing techniques and chemicals were mainly researched by Kaspar Walter in Munich.

Fully automated galvanic lines for publication as well as for packaging printing are reality today. From planning and layout of such a line to the turn key installation all is coming from Munich.
